First-aid measures

Inhalation Move to fresh air.

Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed.

Call a physician immediately.

Skin contact Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately.

Wash off with soap and water.

Obtain medical attention.

Eye contact Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at

least 15minutes.

Call a physician immediately.

Ingestion Drink plenty of water.

Do not induce vomiting.

Call a physician immediately.

Suitable extinguishing media Suitable extinguishing media : dry chemical , Carbon dioxide (CO2) ,

alcohol-resistant foam

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reason

High volume water jet

Specific hazards Possible decomposition products are: Carbon oxides , Sulphur oxides ,

Hydrogenchloride gas.

Reacts violently with water.

Vapours are heavier than air and may spread along floors.Special protective equipment for firefighters

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions Wear personal protective equipment.

Evacuate personnel to safe areas.

Methods for cleaning up Do not flush into surface water.

Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder,

universalbinder, sawdust).

Shovel into suitable container for disposal.

After cleaning, flush away traces with water.

Handling and storage

Storage Keep in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.

Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.
