TO BE DELETED Chesar 3.7.1 available for download
17/12/2021
An update of ECHA's chemical safety assessment and reporting tool, Chesar, has been published.
The new version of Chesar, Chesar 3.7.1 resolves a serious and very wide-ranging software security flaw, caused by a commonly used software component, named log4j. For more information see the official announcement by the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency of the US Government.
Chesar 3.7.1 beside resolving the security flaw, has the same content of Chesar 3.7. Please consult the release notes document for more information.
Note that Chesar 3.7.0 and all previous versions are affected by this security flaw and should not made available on a server that can be accessed from the public internet. We therefore recommend downloading and installing the new Chesar 3.7.1.
Chesar 3.7.1 is fully compatible with the latest version of IUCLID 6.6, which was recently released. For an overview of the compatibility between the different IUCLID and Chesar versions, please consult the related FAQ.
Updated versions of the installation manuals as well as the manual for sector associations are also available.
