Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
In case of accidental injection: Get immediate medical advice and attention, If possible, show him
this sheet. Failing this, show him the packaging or label.
First-aid measures after inhalation :
Remove victim to uncontaminated area. Make the affected person rest and keep at warm. Seek
medical advice (show the label where possible).
First-aid measures after skin contact :
If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention. After contact with skin, wash immediately
and thoroughly with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing.
First-aid measures after eye contact :
Immediately flush eyes thoroughly with water for at least 30 minutes. If exposure is severe or
irritation develops, seek medical attention.
First-aid measures after ingestion :
IF SWALLOWED: Seek medical advice (show the label where possible).
Fire-fighting measures
Use the extinguishing material recommended for the primary cause of fire.
Firefighting instructions :
Prevent material from entering waterways, sewers or surface draining systems.
Protection during firefighting : Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
Accidental release measures
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment in case of accidental release.
Methods for cleaning up :
Avoid creating airborne dust by damping down if necessary. Shovel or sweep up and put in a closed container for disposal. Clean contaminated surfaces with an excess of water.
Handling and storage
Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Avoid creating or spreading dust. Both local exhaust and general room ventilation are usually required.
Hygiene measures :
Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eating, drinking or smoking and when leaving work. Do not wear contaminated clothing.
Storage conditions :
Use good housekeeping practices during storage, transfer, handling, to avoid excessive dust accumulation. Store in a dry place. Avoid : Excess humidity and exposure to light.
Storage temperature :
< 25 °C

Exposure controls / personal protection
All liquid/powder handling operations should be performed in a contained manner using a suitably designed and performance verified containment system. Both local exhaust and general room ventilation are usually required. Wear a certified disposable filtering facepiece respirator or a respirator supplying a higher level of protection until processes have been assessed to show that respiratory protection is not required. Ground equipment electrically. Access forbidden to unauthorised personnel.
Hand protection :
Nitrile rubber gloves.
Eye protection :
Where contact with eyes may occur from use, approved eye protection equipment is recommended.
Skin and body protection :
Avoid any direct contact with the product. Wear suitable protective clothing. Use sleeve covers for processing activities.
Respiratory protection :
A risk assessment is required.
Environmental exposure controls :
Avoid release to the environment.
Other information :
Emergency safety showers should be available in the immediate vicinity of any potential
exposure.
Stability and reactivity
No additional information available
Chemical stability:
Stable under use and storage conditions as recommended.
Possibility of hazardous reactions:
No additional information available
Conditions to avoid:
Excess humidity and exposure to light.
Incompatible materials
No incompatible products to be specially mentioned.
Hazardous decomposition products:
Thermal decomposition generates : irritating gases, Nitrogen oxides, Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Disposal considerations
Dispose of waste product or used containers according to local regulations. Ensure all national/local regulations are observed.
