Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air and rinse mouth throughly with water. Call a doctor/physician immediately.
Skin contact: Rinse skin with soap and water.
Eye contact: Rinse eyes with clean water for 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do so. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Call a doctor/physician. Do not induce vomiting. The mouth should be rinsed throughly with water.
Symptoms (acute/delayed): If swallowed may suffer form diarrhoea and vomiting. May cause inflammation if in eyes and on skin. May feel unwell if mist is inhaled.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Foggy reinforcing agent, foam, powder or carbon dioxide.
Unsuitable media: jet water
Specific fire fighting measures: Shut off fire source. Use powder or carbon dioxide extinguishers at the beginning of the fire. It is effective to intercept the air from a big fire with foam extinguishers. Use of water may spread fire. Cool the surrounding areas with water spray. Evacuate non-essential personnel.
Special protective actions for fire-fighting: Wear protective glasses, protective clothing, and if necessary, respiratory equipment.
Accidental release measures
Personel precautions: If skin/eye contact is possible wear protective equipment. If mist is produced, wear respiratory equipment.
Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment.
Collection/neutralisation and methods of containment: Eliminate sources of ignition. If a large amount, dike ahead of the spill area and sweep into a container for disposal. After disposal, wash with water. For small spills, sweep into a container and adsorb with sand or earth.
Prevention of secondary hazards: Remove sources of secondary ignition.
Handling and storage
Handling conditions: Take measures against static discharge, and pay attention to ventilation and fire hazards (product vapour may be heavier than air and accumulate in low lying areas). Use a pump to remove from container and do not weld, heat or cut containers. Use only outdoors or in a well ventilated area.
Storage: Avoid heat, sparks, flames and static electricity. Keep container tightly closed. Use metal or glass containers (resin based containers may not be suitable).

Exposure controls / personal protection
Engineering controls: When mists and vapours can be produced, seal off sources or provide exhaust ventilation. Facilities for eye and body rinsing should be provided.
Respiratory protection: Usually not required. If considered necessary wear a suitable respirator.
Hand protection: If required where oil resistant protective gloves.
Eye protection: If diffusion is possible, wear eye protection.
Skin and body protection: If necessary, wear protective clothing and face protection.
Hygienic precautions: wash hand after use and regularly inspect equipment. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
Stability and reactivity
Stability: stable
Possibility of hazardous reactions and conditions to avoid: None
Incompatible materials: Halogens, strong acids/alkali and strong oxidisers. No hazardous decomposition products.
Disposal considerations
Dispose of waste (including containers) in accordance with national and local regulations.
