Administrative data
First-aid measures
Ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. NEVER MAKE AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSON VOMIT OR DRINK FLUIDS! Get medical attention immediately.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water. Get medical attention promptly if symptoms occur after washing.
Eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Extinguish with foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder or water fog.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Hazardous combustion products: In case of fire, toxic gases (CO, CO2, NOx) may be formed.
Advice for firefighters
Protective actions during firefighting:
Keep up-wind to avoid fumes. Extinguish with the following media: Water spray, dry powder or carbon dioxide. Larger fires: Foam. Move containers from fire area if it can be done without risk. Cool containers exposed to flames with water until well after the fire is out.
Special protective equipment for firefighters:
Wear positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and appropriate protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
Wear protective clothing. Keep upwind. Keep public away from danger area. Remove or isolate all sources of ignition. Warn everybody of potential hazards and evacuate if necessary.
Environmental precautions:
Avoid the spillage or runoff entering drains, sewers or watercourses.
Methods for cleaning up:
Smaller quantities of residue may be collected by an absorbent. ( e.g. Rags. ) Dike far ahead of larger spills for later disposal. Contain and absorb spillage with sand, earth or other non-combustible material. Collect and place in suitable waste disposal containers and seal securely.
Handling and storage
Usage precautions: Avoid inhalation of vapours/spray and contact with skin and eyes. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Avoid contact with strong oxidising agents. ( Acids. Alkalis. Heavy metals. Organic compounds. ) Wear protective clothing. Good personal hygiene procedures should be implemented. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Storage precautions: Store in tightly-closed, original container in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Protect from sunlight. Store locked up. Suitable container materials: light screening/impermeable containers.
Storage class: Corrosive storage.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Provide adequate general and local exhaust ventilation. All handling should only take place in well-ventilated areas.
Eye/face protection: The following protection should be worn: Chemical splash goggles or face shield.
Hand protection: Use protective gloves. It is recommended that gloves are made of the following material: Neoprene.
Other skin and body protection: Wear appropriate clothing to prevent any possibility of skin contact. Impervious working clothes. Safety helmet. Wear rubber footwear. Wear rubber apron.
Hygiene measures: Provide eyewash station and safety shower. Use engineering controls to reduce air contamination to permissible exposure level. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash hands at the end of each work shift and before eating, smoking and using the toilet.
Respiratory protection: Wear a respirator fitted with the following cartridge: Organic vapour filter. ( Amines. )
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: Stability Stable at normal ambient temperatures.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: Acid-reactive materials. Contact with CO2 in the air will form carbonate.
Conditions to avoid: Avoid heat.
Materials to avoid: Acids. Strong oxidising agents.
Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon monoxide (CO). Carbon dioxide (CO2). Nitrous gases (NOx).
