This list contains substances which are banned from use in any cosmetic products marketed for sale or use in the European Union.

Extracts (petroleum), heavy paraffinic distillate solvent, clay-treated

A complex combination of hydrocarbons resulting from treatment of a petroleum fraction with natural or modified clay in either a contact or percolation process to remove the trace amounts of polar compounds and impurities present. It consists predominantly of aromatic hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C20 through C50.
