Handling and storage

The substance is used as aqueous solution, no danger is expected during its handling.

It is direclty loaded from the container to the reactor using a pump. This operation is performed by worker under aspiration system, using appropriate PPE.

No gaseous emissions containg D,L-lysine from the process.

During all process workers follow the internal procedure and wear appropriate PPE.

Only trained and authorised personnel handle the substance. The workers are provided with training (following ISO 9001) and with a "safety sheet" for each substance they use; this sheet contains the procedures during the normal handling and during the malfunctioning of the process and in accidental situations with the actions to be taken in order to safeguard themself and other workers at the workplace. Access to all safety data sheet is provided for all workers.

The Company obtained the AIA (Environmentally Integrated Authorisation) and follow  the D.Lgs. 59/05 .
