Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Significant accumulation of DMCHA in organisms is not to be expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

BCF values of 24.55 L/kg (all mitigating factors considered) and 62.09 L/kg (considering no mitigating factors) were determined using the BCF base-line model v.04.11 implemented in OASIS Catalogic v5.14.1.5 (BASF, 2022). With regard to the parametric and mechanistic domain, the test substance is to 100% within the applicability domain of the model. The substance is to 78% within the structural fragments domain, 22% of fragments are not present in the set of training chemicals. However, results are supported by data derived with a previous version of the OASIS BCF-baseline model (OASIS Catalogic v5.11.15, BCF baseline model v.02.08). Here BCF values were 38.9 L/kg (all mitigating factors considered) and 62.1 L/kg (considering no mitigating factors) and the substance is completely within the applicability domain (BASF, 2015).

Based on this result it can be concluded that significant accumulation in organisms is not to be expected.
