The flash point is a key measure of the flammability of a liquid. It measures the lowest temperature at which the vapour/air mixture above the liquid can be ignited.
Flash point of dicyclohexylamine was examined in two studies with reliability of 2 (valid with restrictions). Based on the key study (open cup, purity not specified) the flash point of dicyclohexylamine is 105°C (NIOSH, 2004; Eller K, Henkes E, 2000). There is also another study with the result 110°C (Budavari S, 2001). According to Regulation No 1272/2008 dicyclohexylamine is not classified as flammable liquid based on the flash point of 105°C.
Justification for classification or non-classification
DCHA is not classified as flammable liquid based on the flash point of 105°C (NIOSH, 2004;Eller K, Henkes E, 2000).
