No studies on skin sensitization with zinc bis(dibutyldithiocarbamate) (ZDBC) were available for assessment. However, as the substance is included in Annex I of EU Directive 67/548/EEC as sensitizing (Xi, R43), the performance of additional studies is not required in accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Zinc bis(dibutyldithiocarbamate) (ZDBC) is classified as sensitizing (Xi, R43) in accordance with Annex I of EU Directive 67/548/EEC. In accordance with EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, it should be classified as Category 1, H317 (may cause an allergic reaction to skin).
