Applicant's summary and conclusion

Executive summary:

The apparatus was calibrated with double-distilled water; this gave a correction factor of 1.0104 to be applied to the test results.

The measured surface tension for a 90% saturated solution of Nonyl acetate in double-distilled water was 71.5 mN/m at 20°C.

With the application of the correction for the calibration factor (F), the surface tension was 72.2 mN/m at 20°C.

With application of the Harkins Jordan correction factor, the surface tension was 71.8 mN/m.
