Two assays were performed during the test and the two assays complied with the accuracy criterion. Only the heated phases were presented.

Result of the first assay : The observed boiling point of this assay was 81.2 °C at 97.6 kPa. The boiling point corrected to the atmospheric pressure was 82.3 °C.

Result of the second assay : The observed boiling point of this assay was 81.7 °C at 97.7 kPa. The boiling point corrected to the atmospheric pressure was 82.8 °C.

The mean corrected boiling point of the test item was 82.6 °C ± 0.5 °C.

Conclusions:
The boiling point of triflic anhydride is 82.6°C at atmospheric pressure.
Executive summary:

In a study (2016), the boiling point of trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride was determined according to the OECD 103 guideline and under GLP conditions.

The method used was differential scanning calorimetry.

The mean corrected boiling point of two measures was 82.6°C.

Description of key information

One reliable key study scored as reliability 1 is available for this endpoint. The boiling point of trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride was determined by differential scanning calorimetry to be 82.6°C at atmospheric pressure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
82.6 °C
