Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One study is available investigating the short-term toxicity of 4,4',4''-methylidynetrianiline (EC No. 208-952-0) to aquatic invertebrates (Spoo-Klöppel, 2015). Daphnia magna was exposed to nominal concentrations of 1.9, 4.3, 9.4, 20.7, 45.5, 100 mg/L. The actual test substance concentrations in the test medium were verified by HPLC/UV-VIS analysis at 0 and 48 h. It was shown that the initially measured concentrations were lower compared to the nominal concentrations. However, the initial measured concentrations did not differ > 20 % from the measured concentrations after 48 h. Thus, the effect concentrations were based on the initially measured concentrations.
After 24 h of exposure no immobilization was recorded, whereas 50 % immobilization was observed after 48 h at the highest concentration tested. An EC50 (48 h) of 10.448 mg/L was calculated by probit analysis.
