Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Due to the estimated logKocs binding to solid soil phase is possible.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The pKa value of the substance indicates that the molecule will exist primarily as a cation in the environment and cations generally adsorb stronger to soils containing organic carbon and clay than their neutral counterparts. Hence, the KOCWIN-model may underestimate adsorption to organic carbon since it does not consider the ionic structure of the molecule. Under environmental conditions (pH from 5 to 9) the test substance is mostly present in its charged form (as calculated by the formula% ionised = 100/(1+10(pKa - pH)). In a calculation conducted according to a publication by Franco & Trapp (2008) taking into account a pKa of 8.5 and logPow of 1.64 logKoc values between 3 and 4 were determined..
