Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test substance on Desmodesmus subspicatus was measured in a guideline study according to DIN 38 412/9. The EC10 value on the growth rate of the organisms was determined to be about 271.7 mg/L and the EC50 value was found to be ca. 549.3 mg/L (BASF AG 02/90/179, 1990). Therefore, the test substance is considered with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic algae.
