Description of key information

In the key study, the acute toxicity to zebrafish (Danio rerio) of tetradonium bromide was determined to be 0.72 mg/L representing LC10 and > 1.81 mg/L representing the LC50 value (96h). In another study, a value for LC50 (24h) was established to 2.5 mg/l for rainbow trout (Onchorhynchus mykiss).

Additional information

Two studies on acute toxicity to fish have been identified for tetradonium bromide. The LC50 values are in the same range and were above 1.81 mg/L (96h) and 2.5 mg/L (24h). The LC50(96h) determined in the key study performed according to OECD Guideline 203 and according to GLP is chosen for the CSA based on the well-documented study.
