Whilst heating the test item, self-heating of the sample was observed. The temperature/time curve is shown in the attached Figure 1.  On completion of the test, the test item was a dark grey fused solid.

Conclusions:
Copper sulphide has been determined to have a relative self-ignition temperature of 260 °C.
