Justification for classification or non-classification
Under CLP, organic peroxides are not classified as oxidisers but they are a distinct hazard class. The classification procedure is described in Section 2.15.4 of the ECHA Guidance on the Application of CLP criteria. OO-tert-butyl monoperoxymaleate in its marketed form is classified as an organic peroxide Type C.
