Description of key information

The potential of the test substance to undergo hydrolytic degradation in an aquatic environment was studied in GLP conformance according to the procedures outlined in EEC's Annex V, Part C.7.2 and OECD Guideline No. 111. A Preliminary Test was performed at 50.0 ± 0.5 °C at three pH values: 4, 7, and 9. The test solutions were analyzed for the test substance using high performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet light detection (HPLC/UV). The change in test substance concentration, over time, was calculated and reported as the percent hydrolysis. Less than 10 percent hydrolysis was observed in the pH 4, 7, and 9 test systems after 120 hours, therefore no further testing (Test 1, Test 2, or Test 3) was required.
The test substance is hydrolytically stable (half-life greater than one year) at 25°C.
