Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The aerobic biodegradation of the substance was evaluated according to the OECD 301F and EU Method C.4 -D. A measured volume of inoculated mineral medium, containing a known concentration of test item as the nominal sole source of organic carbon, is stirred in a closed flask at a constant temperature for 28 days. The consumption of oxygen is determined from the change in pressure in the apparatus. Evolved carbon dioxide is absorbed in soda lime. The amount of oxygen taken up by the microbial population during biodegradation of the test item (corrected for uptake by blank inoculum, run in parallel) is expressed as a percentage of Theoretical Oxygen De-mand (ThOD). A positive, abiotic and toxicity control run in parallel.

All validity criteria were met.

Degradation at the end of the test was 68.9 % and degradation at the end of 10-day-window 60.4 %

Therefore, when applying the 10-day-window, the substance is considered as readily biodegradable.
