Determination 1:

Boiling point 225.26°C (498 K) at 102.14 kPa

Determination 2:

Boiling point 226.11°C (499 K) at 102.14 kPa

Mean boiling temperature: 499 ± 0.5 K at 102.14 kPa

Conclusions:
The boiling point of the test substance was measured to be 499 ± 0.5 K at 102.14 kPa (226°C), determined in a reliable study according to an appropriate test protocol and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered reliable.
Endpoint:
boiling point

Conclusions:
A boiling point value of 209°C has been obtained for the test substance using an appropriate estimation method. The result is considered reliable.

Description of key information

Boiling point (trimethoxyphenylsilane): 226°C at 102.14 kPa (OECD guideline 103)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
226 °C

Additional information

A boiling point value of 226°C at 102.14 kPa was reported based on a standard guideline study (OECD Guideline 103 Boiling point/boiling range). The result is considered to be reliable and was selected as the key study. A value of 211°C was available in a handbook, to which reliability could not be assigned. A predicted value of 209°C, calculated using a validated predictive method, is also available.
