Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
25 to 28 September 2000
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
comparable to guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Remarks:
The study was conducted similarly to internationally recognised method, but not under GLP, and experimental data are missing. Test substance is adequately specified with isomer purity. Validation applies with restrictions due to technical inaccuracy.
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
measuring time
GLP compliance:
no

Conclusions:
Moderately soluble (100-1000 mg/L)
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test substance was measured with a flask method similar to the OECD 105 guideline. After equilibration for 24 and 72 hours at 20°C, concentration was estimated by DOC.

Results were consistent (slight increasing tendency <15%), so the mean value was retained.

The water solubility of the test substance was determined to be 297 mg/L (pH unspecified).

Description of key information

Considered as moderately soluble.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
297 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

A reliable experimental study, conducted similarly to OECD method, is available. Despite restrictions (due to technical limitations and inaccuracy, and not GLP) it is considered as a key study. The result is retained as key data.
