Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Basen on expert judgememt and QSAR dyes and EPI Suite predictions the substance is not readily biodegradable.

BOD5/COD = 0.04 mgO2/g
COD = 1353.6 mgO2/g
BOD5 = 54 mgO2/g

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A prediction has been done on the most representative structure using QSAR dyes and EPI Suite tools. The substance is predicted not to be readily biodegradable.

The available data on the BOD(5 days)/COD ratio of the substance is also presented.

According to ECHA Guidance 7b and to the CLP Regulation (EC) n. 1272/2008 where other data are not available, a BOD(5 days)/COD ratio ≥ 0,5 is considered as indicative of rapid degradation. The substance shows a BOD5/COD = 0.04, this value suggest a no rapid biodegradation.
