First-aid measures

- General advice:

Take affected persons out of danger area and lay down.

Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product.

In case of irregular breathing or respiratory arrest provide artificial respiration.

- Following inhalation:

Supply fresh air.

- Following skin contact:

Immediately rinse with water.

If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.

- Following eye contact:

Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water.

Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.

- Following ingestion:

Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water.

If symptoms persist consult doctor.

Do NOT induce vomiting.

- Most important symptoms and effects: No further relevant information available.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:

CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.

- Unsuitable extinguishing media:

Water with full jet

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire.

In case of fire, the following can be released:

Carbon monoxide

Carbon dioxide

Nitrogen oxides (NOx)

Sulphur oxides (SOx)

Hydrogen cyanide (HCN)

- Advice for fire fighter:

Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.

·Additional information: Cool endangered receptacles with water spray.

Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions:

Ensure adequate ventilation.

Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.

Avoid formation of dust.

Keep away from ignition sources.

- Protective equipment and emergency procedures:

- Environmental precautions:

Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Pick up mechanically.

Dispose of the material collected according to regulations

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

Prevent formation of dust.

Any unavoidable deposit of dust must be regularly removed.

Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

· Information about fire and explosion protection:

Dust can combine with air to form an explosive mixture.

Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.

Protect against electrostatic charges.

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:

Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store only in the original receptacle.

· Information about storage in one common storage facility:

Do not store together with oxidising and acidic materials.

Do not store together with alkalis (caustic solutions).

· Further information about storage conditions:

Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles.

Protect from heat and direct sunlight.

Protect from humidity and water.

Changes colour under influence of light.

· Recommended storage temperature : At 15 °C to 25 °C

· Specific end use(s) : No further relevant information available.

Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Technical protection measures

Control parameters: Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace:

The product does not contain any relevant quantities of materials with critical values that have to be

monitored at the workplace.

2. Organisational protection measures: Personal protective equipment:

· General protective and hygienic measures:

Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working.

Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.

Store protective clothing separately.

The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.

3. Hand protection: Only use chemical-protective gloves with CE-labelling of category III.

The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation.

Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the

degradation.

· Material of gloves

Nitrile rubber, NBR (≥ 0.11 mm)

The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality

and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

· Penetration time of glove material

The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be

observed.

≥ 8 h

4. Feet protection: Protective work clothing

5. Body protection: Protective work clothing

6. Eye protection: Safety glasses

7. Respiratory protection: Not necessary if room is well-ventilated.

Stability and reactivity

1. Reactivity

: No further relevant information available

2. Chemical stability

: No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.

· Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications

3. Possibility of hazardous reactions

-Reacts with strong acids, alkalines and oxidizing agents.

-Reacts with peroxides.

-Danger of polymerization

4. Conditions to avoid:

No decomposition if used according to specifications. Changes colour under influence of light.

5. Incompatible materials:

No further relevant information available

6. Hazardous decomposition products

-Nitrogen oxides (NOx)

-Hydrogen cyanide (prussic acid)

-Sulphur oxides (SOx)

-Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide

-Danger of forming toxic pyrolysis products.
