Conclusions:
In accordance with the REACH Regulation, the study on the adsorption coefficient (Koc) on soil and on sewage sludge cannot be performed using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method as described in OECD guideline 121 for an inorganic substance or mineral salt test item such as dilithium tetraborate.
Executive summary:

It was proposed to investigate the adsorption/desorption potential of the test substance using OECD 121. In accordance with the REACH Regulation, the study on the adsorption coefficient (Koc) on soil and on sewage sludge cannot be performed using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method for an inorganic substance or mineral salt test item such as dilithium tetraborate.  A statement was therefore prepared by the laboratory to this effect.
