Description of key information
Titanium diboride is an inorganic substance with poor solubility in water or organic solvents. It has no relevant functional groups that would suggest the ability to hydrolyze or adsorb toil soil/sediment. In addition, titanium diboride has no lipophilic functional groups or active transport relevant groups. Therefore, it is likely not to cross biological membrane and is generally not bioavailable for biodegradation processes. Based on its intrinsic properties, the environmental fate testing for titanium diboride is not necessary.
