Description of key information

Zirconium carbide is a not highly flammable, grey solid with a relative density of 6.73 g/cm³. The substance shows self-ignition at a temperature of 343 °C and has a low water solubility of 0.368 µg/L. The melting point of the inorganic substance is approximately 3532 °C. The mean diameter of the ZrC particles (D50 value) is 4.88 µm.
