Description of key information

According to ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment viscosity is relevant only to liquids. Viscosity is the property of a fluid substance of absorbing a stress during deformation which depends on the rate of the deformation. Similarly, the stress can be regarded as the cause which brings about a deformation rate. The viscosity of fluids is environmentally relevant owing to the penetration of fluids into the soil and the harmful effect on the groundwater which may thus possibly be caused. (Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment - Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance)
Sulphuric acid, compound with graphite is an inorganic solid, consisting of natural graphite and variable amounts of intercalated sulphuric acid.
Since sulphuric acid, compound with graphite is a solid, testing of viscosity is technically not feasible and scientifically not justified according to ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment.
