Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to ECHA guidance (Chapter R.7b: Endpoint specific guidance, Version 1.2, 2012), absence of microbial toxicity can often be inferred from biodegradation studies. Therefore, if the test substance does not inhibit the degradation of a positive control at a certain concentration, this concentration can be used as a NOEC value. Based on a ready biodegradability study with the test substance, performed according to OECD Guideline No. 301 F, a NOEC of 100 mg/L can be established since at this concentration no toxicity was observed in the toxicity control (containing both a reference substance and the test substance at a concentration of 100 mg/L each).
