First-aid measures

General information: If symptoms persist, call a physician. Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.

After inhalation: Remove to fresh air.

After contact with skin: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with soap and plenty of water.

After contact with eyes: In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

After ingestion: Get medical attention immediately.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed

Symptoms: Irritating to mucous membranes. Irritating to eyes.

Hazards: No additional hazards are known except those derived from the labelling.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treatment: Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide (CO2); Dry powder; Water mist; Alcohol-resistant foam
Extinguishing media that must not be used for safety reasons: High volume water jet

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
In case of fire hazardous decomposition products may be produced such as: Carbon monoxide; Carbon dioxide (CO2)

Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment for firefighting: Self-contained breathing apparatus

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear suitable protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Environmental precautions: Prevent spreading over a wide area (e.g. by containment or oil barriers). Retain and dispose of contaminated wash water.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Brush up wearing suitable PPE. Dispose of material in accordance with the regulations.

Additional information: Information regarding Safe handling, see respective chapter.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling

Advice on safe handling: Handle and open container with care.
Hygiene measures: Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: The product is not easily combustible, does not add to the spreading of fire, is not self combustible nor is it explosive.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Further information on storage conditions: Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Handle and open container with care.

Specific end use(s): No further recommendations.

Control parameters

Exposure limit values: Exposure limit values are not available.

DNEL/DMEL values: DNEL/DMEL values are not available.

PNEC values: PNEC values are not available.

Exposure controls

General protective measures: Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals.

Respiratory protection: Use respiratory protection in case of insufficient exhaust ventilation or prolonged exposure. Full mask to standard DIN EN 136. Combination filter A/P3 to standard DIN EN 141. The use of filter apparatus presupposes that the environment atmosphere contains at least 17% oxygen by volume, and does not exceed the maximum gas concentration, usually 0.5% by volume. Relevant guidelines to be considered include EN 136/141/143/371/372 as well as other national regulations. Observe applicable relevant national regulations,(e.g. TRGS 900 and BGR 190 in Germany).Take note of the recommendedations regarding the duration for which Respiratory Protective Equipment may be worn, according to chapter 19 Abs. 5 GefStoffV in conjunction with the rules of wearing such equipment.

Hand protection : PVC-coated gloves. Minimum breakthrough time / gloves : > 1 h. Minimum thickness / gloves 0,8 mm. Nitrile rubber gloves. Minimum breakthrough time / gloves : > 1 h Minimum thickness / gloves 0,35 mm. These types of protective gloves are offered by various manufacturers. Please note the manufacturers´ detailed statements, especially about the minimum thickness and the minimum breakthrough time. Consider also the particular working conditions under which the gloves are being used.

Eye protection : Safety goggles

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: See respective section "Possibility of hazardous reactions"

Chemical stability: Stable under normal conditions.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use.

Conditions to avoid: Strong oxidizing agents

Incompatible materials: not known

Hazardous decomposition products: Nitrogen oxides (NOx); Hydrogen chloride; Ammonia

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods

Product: Product should be taken to a suitable and authorized waste disposal site in accordance with relevant regulations and if necessary after consultation with the waste disposal operator and/or the competent Authorities.

Uncleaned packaging: Contaminated packaging material should be treated equivalent to residual chemicals. Clean packaging material should be subjected to waste management schemes (recovery recycling, reuse) according to local legislation.
