First-aid measures
Protection of First-Aiders:
Protect yourself and any casualty from further exposure during decontamination. Wear suitable prot
ective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection.
Other: Remove contaminated clothing.
Inhalation
Remove persons affected by vapour to fresh air. Keep patient at rest and give oxygen if breathing d
ifficult. Apply artificial respiration if necessary (do not employ mouth-to-mouth method). Appropriate
mechanical means should be used (Pneupac or bag and mask). Treat symptomatically.
Skin Contact
Wash affected skin with plenty of water. Seek medical treatment.
Eye Contact
Irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water, holding the eyelids apart, for at least 15 minutes. Seek
medical treatment.
Ingestion
If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Do not induce vomiting. Keep
patient at rest. Seek medical treatment.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Causes serious eye damage.
Indication of immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Seek medical treatment when anyone has symptoms apparently due to swallowing, inhalation or
contact with skin or eyes.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable Extinguishing Media
Extinguish preferably with foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical.
Water spray should be used to cool containers.
