Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Non flammable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to EC 1907/2006 Annex XI only the flammability of liquids is deduced from flash point. For this solid substance a flash point was determined, because the substance melts at relative low temperatures. Therefore the flash point determination was chosen. The flammability in this case could be deduced from the flash point.

Based on chemical structure pyrophoricity and flammability in contact with water are not expected.

Flash point: 240 °C (closed cup)

Justification for classification or non-classification

No classification, the substance is a non flammabe solid.

Justification: The flash point was determined for this substance inspite it is a solid. The flash point is measured to be 240 °C, therefore, the flammability of the substance is deduced from flash point. The flash point is > 60 °C.

Based on the chemical structure pyrophoricity and flammability in contact with water are not expected.
