Description of key information

The test substance is a solid with a pH of 4.3 for a1% w/v dispersion in distilled water. The test substance partially melted before decomposing at temperatures above approximately 150°C. A density of 1.52 g/mL at 20°C was measured using an oscillating densitometer according to OECD Guideline 109. The vapour pressure, 0.017 Pa at 25°C, was determined using the effusion method according to OECD Guideline 104. The partition coefficient, Log Kow, of <1 at 25°C and pH 4-9, was determined using the HPLC method according to OECD Guideline 117. Water solubility of ca. 50 mg/L at 20°C and pH 4.4-7.7 was determined using turbidimetry, according to OECD Guideline 105. Surface tension, 17 Nm/ at 20°C, was determined using the OECD harmonized ring method according to OECD Guideline 115. The test substance did not self-ignite below 400°C as determined in accordance with EU Method A.16 and the test substance was not flammable following EU Method A.10. The substance has no groups associated with explosive properties and is not oxidising based on chemical structure.
