First-aid measures

General Measures -  Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible).

Inhalation -  Remove to fresh air, keep the patient warm and at rest. If breathing is difficult, trained personnel should give oxygen. If symptoms persist, obtain medical attention.

Skin contact -  Immediately remove contaminated clothing or footwear. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.

Eye contact -  In case of eye contact, immediately rinse with clean water for 10-15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Retract eyelids often. Obtain immediate medical attention.

Ingestion -  Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth. Give 100 - 200 ml of water to drink. Do not give an unconscious person anything to drink. Obtain immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:       Water spray. Dry powder. Foam. Carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable extinguishing media:       None known

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

Fire hazard: Not flammable. Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating and toxic gases and vapors

Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire: Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases. Chlorine. Nitrogen oxides. Carbon monoxide.

Advice for firefighters: Fire fighters should wear complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus.Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers. Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

For non-emergency personnel : Evacuate unnecessary personnel. Ensure adequate ventilation.

For emergency responders: Wear suitable protective clothing and eye or face protection, Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation of vapours. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment. Prevent entry to sewers and public waters. Notify authorities if liquid enters sewers or public waters.

Methods for cleaning up : Dike far ahead of liquid spill for later disposal. Absorb with earth, sand or other non-combustible material and transfer to containers for later disposal.
