First-aid measures

Inhalation: Remove exposed person to fresh air and keep warm and at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. For difficulties in breathing, respiratory irritation, or other symptoms, call a poison centre or doctor.

Skin: Quickly remove contaminated clothing and wash affected area with soap and water. Call a poison centre or doctor if irritation, rash, or other symptoms occur. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.

Eye: Irrigate with room-temperature water or eyewash solution for several minutes, occasionally lifting eyelids. Remove any contact lenses if easy to do. Continue rinsing. Call a poison centre or doctor if irritation persists.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly and give water to drink. Get prompt medical attention. Do not induce vomiting, unless instructed by medical personnel.

Fire-fighting measures

The product is not classified as flammable. However, if involved in a fire, product will combust producing hazardous smoke, vapours and gases.
Suitable extinguishing media: carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, water spray, alcohol-resistant foam.

Accidental release measures

For large spills, wear personal protection. Ventilate area and extinguish all sources of ignition. Take precautionary measures against static discharge and use non-sparking equipment. Follow prescribed procedures for responding to large spills and reporting to appropriate authorities.
Prevent product from entering water courses or drainage system by using bunding or absorption with inert material.
For small quantities, wipe off with cloth or paper.
For large quantities, recover by using appropriate techniques such as pumping, or absorption with an inert material such as dry sand.
Wash contaminated surfaces with water and detergent, and collect waste, washings, and contaminated materials for safe disposal.

Handling and storage

Avoid skin and eye contact with the product, and inhalation of vapours. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Wash hands after use. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
Keep away from sources of ignition. Use only non-sparking equipment. Take precautionary measures against static discharge, and electrically ground container and receiving equipment.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Good general ventilation is recommended. Local exhaust ventilation or use in a closed system may be required if operating conditions produces vapour or mists.
The need for personal protective equipment should be based on a workplace risk assessment for the particular use.
Avoid skin and eye contact by wearing chemical resistant gloves (EN 420) and eye protection (EN166). Where more extensive contact may occur, wear protective clothing (eg apron, overalls).
If exposure to vapours is foreseen, wear respiratory protective equipment (organic vapor mask).
PPE should conform to European (EN) standards. Consult PPE manufacturers concerning breakthrough times applicable to your particular use.

Stability and reactivity

Stable under ambient conditions. No hazardous polymerization.
Avoid storage at high temperatures, or in direct sunlight, and exposure to sources of ignition.
Avoid strong acids, alkalis, and oxidising agents.

Disposal considerations

Incineration is recommended for disposal of this product. Disposal via the drains is not recommended.
Disposal must be in accordance with current national and local regulations.
Containers of this material may be hazardous when emptied due to product residue. All hazard precautions given in this data sheet must be observed for used containers, unless containers are thoroughly cleaned.
