Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

All liquid LCCPs have pour points in the range of approximately -30 deg C to around 10 deg C.  Solid LCCPs have softening points in the range of 103 to 115 deg C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

All liquid LCCPs have pour points in the range of approximately -30oto around 10oC. Because of the complex nature of the substances, distinct melting points are not evident. Instead the commercial substances display pour points. While many of the data for pour points are assigned reliability 4, an overall trend is apparent making a weight of evidence approach possible. Pour points generally increase with increasing chlorine content and chain length. Solid LCCPs have softening points 103 to 115 deg C.
