The vapour pressure of LCCP is extremely low.

The vapour pressure of LCCPs are all extremely low, though the results vary quite a bit. Variability in measured values may result from the nature of these complex mixtures and difficulties measuring such low vapour pressures. Measured values are likely to represent the vapour pressures of the most volatile components in the tested LCCP. Estimated values are based on a single representative chemical structure.modelled data using MPBPWIN (ver 1.28) estimated at 25 ºC, using the following input melting point values: -25 ºC for 42 – 44% Cl, 0ºC for 51 – 54% Cl and 100 ºC for 71% Cl LCCPs.The vapour pressure generally decreases with increasing carbon chain length and chlorine content. Estimates of representative chloroalkane chemicals range from around 5×10-4Pa to 6.3×10-15Pa at 25oC for liquid LCCPs and 1.4×10-15to 6.1×10-19at 25oC for solid LCCPs.
