Results and discussion

Partition coefficient
Remarks on result:
not determinable because of methodological limitations
Details on results:
The test item Petroleum Resins (Kendex 0897) is a UVCB substance. Solubility tests showed that the test item is not soluble in acetonitrile, methanol or isopropanol at target concentration 1 g/L.
For experimental determination of the log Pow, completely dissolved materials is a prerequisite. As a consequence, the determination is not possible using the HPLC method according to OECD 177. Other available methods (OECD 107, shake flask method and OECD 123, slow stirring method) are only acceptable to pure substances and cannot be performed either.
