Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The relative density of Mecoprop-P n-octyl ester is 1.039 at 20°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.039

Additional information

In accordance with the test methods prescribed in EU Method A.3

The test fluid was continuously flowing through a swinging U pipe which is electromagnetically stimulated to oscillate at its resonance frequency. The cycle time is a function of mass and temperature and therefore - in a defined volume -density. The evaluation proceeds automatically in the measuring equipment.

The relative density of Mecoprop-P n-octyl ester was determined to be 1.039 at 20°C.

The relative density D204of solids or liquids is the ratio between the mass of the substance, determined at 20°C, and the mass of the same volume of water, determined at 4°C. At this temperature the density of water is 0.999975 g/cm³.

To convert the density to relative density the following formula is used:

D204= pSubstance(20°C) / pWater(4°C)

The relative density has no dimension.
