Description of key information

Under the conditions of this study, the surface tension of duplicate 90 % saturated aqueous test material solutions has been determined to be 69.8 to 71.2 mN/m at 21.0 ± 0.5 °C. The test material was considered not to be surface active.

Additional information

The key study was conducted in line with GLP and the standardised guidelines OECD 115 and EU Method A.5. It was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria detailed by Klimisch (1997).

The surface tension of the test material was determined using the ring method.

Two aqueous solutions of the test material were prepared to carry out the determination in duplicate and the values obtained using a torsion balance for surface and interfacial tension measurements.
