Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A melting / freezing point for flue dust is not applicable, because the inorganic constituents of the UVC substance have different melting points. The melting points of all known constituents are above 800 K.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

All constituents of the UVC substance Flue Dust are inorganic minerals, their melting points are above 800 K. One single melting / freezing point is not applicable. Data for the melting points of the constituents are taken from the CRC data handbook. Due to these data the constituent sodium chloride should melt at the first.

This endpoint result is supported by the result of a thermo analytical study, in compliance with ISO 17025. The study was performed with a sample representative of the substance to be registered: "Flue Dust T (REACH)". The study result shows that the melting point is above 800 K.
