Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Substances in the lithium salts of monocarboxylic acids C14-C22 category are considered to be similar on the basis that they have common structures of a lithium ion, varying only by the length of the fatty acid chain and the presence of unsaturated and/or hydroxyl functional groups. As a result, due to the close structural similarity and the narrow range of carbon chain numbers covered in this category, the environmental fate properties are expected to be predictable across the category and the data will be read across to the other category members.

All of the substances in the lithium salts of monocarboxylic acids C14-C22 category are considered to be readily biodegradable. As such, the hydrolysis testing, degradation in surface water, sediment and soil simulation testing, and adsorption coefficient have been waived. Lithium salts of monocarboxylic acids C14-C22 category are not considered to bioaccumulate in the environment.
