Description of key information

A substance is considered an oxidizing substance when the burning rate of a mixture of the substance and cellulose is higher or equal to the maximum burning rate of a reference mixture of cellulose and barium nitrate.The substance does not contain groups that act as an oxidizing agent.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the data available silicic acid, barium salt, lead-doped does not need to be classified for oxidising properties according to Directive 67/548/EC or the CLP Regulation.
