Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The submission substance is concluded not to be pyrophoric, nor flammable in contact with water, following day-to-day handling of the substance and based on the absence of structural alerts.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Pyrophoricity.

In the daily use and handling of the submission substance during which continuous exposure to air can occur, no spontaneous ignition is observed. The absence of structural alerts furthermore confirms that it is highly unlikely that the submission substance has pyrophoric properties.

Flammability in contact with water.

Under conditions where the submission substance is in contact with water no ignition and/or liberation of flammable gases is observed. The absence of structural alerts furthermore confirms that it is highly unlikely that the submission substance is flammable in contact with water.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The submission substance needs not to be classified for flammability as the flash-point was determined to be 202°C and is therefore outside the range relevant for classification and labelling under the DSD (<55 °C) and CLP (<60 or <75 °C).

Furthermore, the submission substance is concluded not to have pyrophoric properties nor to be flammable in contact with water following day-to-day handling of the substance and based on the absence of structural alerts.
