Results and discussion

% Degradation
Parameter:
% degradation (O2 consumption)
Value:
ca. 2.7
Sampling time:
28 d
Details on results:
The dissolved oxygen concentration were determined electrochemically using an oxygen electrode.
BOD was than calculated by subtracting the oxygen depletion of the test substance from the oxygen depletion of the inoculum blank. This corrected depletion was then divided by the concentration of the test substance to obtain the specific BOD as mg oxygen per mg test substance and, finally, the % of biodegradation was obtained by dividing the specific BOD by the specific COD.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not inherently biodegradable
Conclusions:
the substance is classified "not readly biodegradable".
