Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Non oxidising

Description of key information

Not oxidising

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

Based on the oxygen balance values and the known experience in the handling and use of substances it is deemed not to be potentially oxidising.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the definition set out in the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008) oxidising solid means a solid substance or mixture which, while in itself is not necessarily combustible, may, generally by yielding oxygen, cause, or contribute to, the combustion of other material. A specific study has not been conducted on the substance but based on the oxygen balance the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, therefore no classification as oxidising is warranted.
