Acute oral toxicity

In a recent study the acute toxicity of the test article when administered to rats as a single oral dose was assessed. The LD50cut-off (rat) was found to be 500 mg/ kg bw.

According to the EU Regulation No. 1272/2008 on the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) the substance is classified into Category 4 because the LD50cut-off (rat) was 500 mg/ kg bw, which is > 300 and < 2000 mg/kg bw (Table 3.1.1).
