Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with water for at least half an hour.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and flush affected part with
water for at least fifteen minutes.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides
together with some hydrogen bromide gas and soot. Water,
carbon dioxide, foam and dry powder are suitable fire
extinguishers.

Accidental release measures

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid inhalation, ingestion and contact with skin, eyes and
clothing. Avoid exposure by use of proper protective
equipment and clothing (includes rubber gloves and goggles)

Storage: Store at room temperature in a dark and dry place.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The concentrated form is incinerated. Waste-gas treatment
to remove nitrogen oxides and hydrogen bromide should be
used.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should have very little effect on waste water
systems. Industrial users will remove the substance from
waste water for disposal by incineration and the water will
be treated before discharge to public sewage works.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain.
Articles containing the substance may be disposed of with
household refuse.
