Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove the patient to fresh air. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 10 minutes.

Seek immediate medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with soap and water. Seek

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam or dry powder may be used. Spray adjacent drums with

water to keep cool.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and

nitrogen together with hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride

and other toxic halogen-containing gases and some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing

apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1).

Contain and collect the spilt material. Transfer to labelled

containers and dispose of by incineration in accordance with

local regulations. Do not allow spill to enter drains or

waterways.

Handling and storage

Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic

chemicals. Avoid inhalation and contact with skin and eyes.

Ensure adequate ventilation to control potential vapour

hazard at source.

Wear safety goggles or face shield, neoprene or butyl rubber

apron and gloves. A full body suit in neoprene or butyl

rubber and a self-contained breathing apparatus should be

worn if contact with CDFNB is unavoidable.

Storage: Store in a cool, well-ventilated place away from foodstuffs.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling by solvent extraction and

distillation is possible,

(A614, A618)

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No method of chemical treatment to remove the identified

hazardous properties is known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method at a suitable facility.

Waste gas treatment to remove oxides of nitrogen, hydrogen

fluoride, chloride and other halogen-containing gases should

be fitted.

(A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain.
