First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Poisoning through inhalation is not envisaged.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash immediately with water for a least 15 minutes. Obtain

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and wash affected areas

immediately with soap and water. Obtain medical attention if

a burning or itching sensation develops.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out the mouth and drink plenty of water; do not

administer anything by mouth if patient is unconscious.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Containers should be cooled with a water spray. The fire

should be extinguished with either CO2 or sand.

Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.

Protective equipment: Fire-fighters should use self-contained breathing apparatus,

and wear safety goggles and gloves.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Prevent spreading of spills with dikes, then absorb with

earth, sand, sawdust or other similar material. Dispose of

with solid waste according to local regulations.

Face and eye protection should be worn when cleaning up

spills.

Handling and storage

Handling: Personal protective equipment: Gloves and safety glasses

should be worn when handling the substance. Splash proof

filling devices should be used to prevent contact with the

substance.

Ventilation: Local exhaust ventilation should be in use.

Work/hygiene practices: Not normally necessary.

Storage: Store in a cool, dark, well ventilated area.

Avoid open flames and other potential sources of ignition.
